Inspiring Cultural And Environmental Wellness
Nestled beneath the Ko'olau mountains and watched over by the Olomana ridges is a beautiful large body of fresh water known as Kawainui, the heartbeat of Kailua ahupua'a. Surrounding this majestic body of water are many 'ili or small land sections that border this large body of water, and one of these 'ili is Palalupe.
Ke Kahua O Kūaliʻi organization has been rehabilitating, restoring, and cultivating 14-acres that is known as Palalupe and Pohakea, two 'ili along the great water of Kawainui. In this space, we strive to inspire our community to build lasting and caring relationships with our culture, each other, and the island we live on.
